<<Being concerned about a runaway trim, I installed an on/off switch in line
on the hot lead.  The switch is installed in front of the stick on the lower
edge of the instrument panel and appropriately labeled.  The switch is
normally off but when I want to use the trim I turn the switch on, make the
adjustment then turn the switch off.  This avoids possible runaways from a
short and or an immediate cutoff in event of a runaway.  Thus trimming is a
two hand operation, one for the stick and trim button, the other hand on the
on/off switch.>>

I solved the problem another way. Since I have two switches in parallel
activating each trim, (pilot/copilot infinity sticks), I put an on-on-on
switch on the panel so I can select the trim activation switches from
both-copilot-pilot. This also allows me to turn all the copilot stick
switches off when I have an inexperienced passenger.

I am banking on not having two of the parallel switches fail at the same
time!
It will be a little inconvenient to run the trims on the copilot stick, but
it will only be for the remainder of one flight.

PS - Gary i am still interested in the flap position indicator.
