I saw the plane that landed on the 15 fwy and wanted to share some quick observations.

1) It appears that the gear was down.  The nose wheel was sheared off the strut and the mains were driven up through the wing.  The left wing tip was shattered.  The engine mount is bent as is the prop.

2) The oil hoses to the oil cooler mounted on the firewall were held on with worm drive band clamps.  One hose was off the cooler.  So probably the oil pressure blew the hose off and the rest followed.

I guess the moral of this story is don’t use band clamps for pressurized lines like the oil.
