I concur with Bob.  My oil temperature is on the low side in all but the hottest 3 months of the year.  It runs about 180 to 200 degrees most of the time.  In the summer months it runs about 200.  Extended climbs don't seem to raise it much.

The oil cooling system includes two, 5 inch round oil coolers, one on each side, mounted on the engine mount, each with its own Naca duct inlet.  The Naca ducts are a little larger than the cabin inlet ducts and have 2 inch scat tubing 6 inches long on the inlet side, and 4 inch scat tubing on the outlet side.  The outlet tubes terminate near the rear lower cowl outlet area.  The size of the Naca inlet ducts (inlet area) was determined by the area of the 2 inch scat tubing.

A few weeks ago, I blocked off one (left side) oil cooler inlet.  In climb and in flight, the oil temperature wasn't any different.  Still low.  I plan to block the right side oil cooler inlet on my next flight to compare temperatures.
