Regarding my just-sent post (below), I was referring to the 320 forced
landing in Corona, not the fatal crash in Arizona.
There was no death in this crash- the pilot (age 83) dead sticked the
plane
(a 320) onto a freeway (unfortunately the one I happened to be using to
get
to work on Monday afternoon) after he lost oil pressure. The pilot was
fine- the plane was what didn't survive, as it was broken in a few places,
but the cockpit area was intact. The plane apparently clipped a motor
home
and came to rest in the median, closing all but one lane of traffic.
