Regarding the CG issue raised in the original post.  I have the Landoll
harmonic balancer on my O320-E2D with the "short" (original) dynafocal
mount.  The balancer weighs in at 12.1# and has an arm of -32.25 inches
for a moment of -374.1.  I still have the antique Lycoming starter, and
the empty CG is just forward of the original limit.  With a pilot and no
fuel I'm OK and will not have an aft CG without working at it.
