Most of you may already be aware of this, but for
what it's worth, do not mix soldering with crimping. I have seen instances
where some folks either soldered the wire to the termination after crimping,
or applied solder to the stripped wire before
crimping. (I guess they thought this was a belt and suspenders
approach.) Either one will greatly increase the chances of the wire
breaking at the terminal, especially in an environment where there is vibration
or some other reason for the wire to move back and forth, even slightly.
But hey, Lancairs don't vibrate, right?
