Beats me how you can throw together two rubber mouldings = using a rubber compound that is obviously inadequate for the operating = temperature range, throw in two metal washers and a short piece of steel = tubing and charge eighty bucks! Apparently if they make them right, = using the magic green rubber, they hold up OK, and they're only 130 = bucks each. =20 On both the ES's I've built, the black rubber mounts sagged = miserably, especially the front ones. On Wednesday I have a date to = replace my front mounts (black) with the green jobs, since my engine has = sagged about 5/8" in about 90 hours. I started about 3/16" high, but it = looks pretty bad now. The two front mounts look really sad, all = distorted and squished. Looking at the front engine mounts, it doesn't = look as if the geometry of the mounts is correct, which is another = story, but it aggravates the sagging situation.
