"Sometimes the easy things are hard and viseversa.  Does anyone have insight into fitting the glare shield as well as most of the other Legacy parts do.  I  am not happy with it's present fit and wonder if cutting  it or maybe camlocs would improve things"

I assume this is referring to the instrument panel glare shield.  A friend of mine tried cutting and fitting the stock glare shield and never could get a decent fit.  He finally gave up on it and built one from scratch.  He cut and fit pieces of foam behind the top of the instrument panel until he got the contour he wanted, and one that fit inside the closed canopy.  He then did a wet layup over the foam (I don't recall how many BID), then removed the foam after the layup cured, and then did some final shaping and smoothing with micro.  It came out very nice.  I know Lancair has been made aware of the fit problem (several months ago) and I have to say I'm a little disappointed that they done anything about it yet.  I guess they have other priorities and builders seem to be getting by, one way or another.
