Hey, I have the Vision Micro Fuel level probes and I was wondering before I make it harder and harder to run wire to them.... What Wire is required - suggested??

The ends of the probes appear to have AWG 18 wire?? Sound right ??
Does this wire need to be Shielded ??? or should it be to prevent certain problems??
