I'm a knuckle head and don't know anything about this but by heating the engine slightly, doesn't that keep the water from condensing in the cylinders which can happen daily in some areas as the temperature drops below the dew point internally. And isn't that more conducive to corrosion having water as a liquid rather than as a gas?
