I will have a test pilot as I agree with Scott that we all need all head and
no heart in the person who flies the first flight.

I feel singularly unqualified to do that most important flight and my test
ilot is a Canadian Armed Forces with much more experience than myself.  He
will bring to it a level of objectivity inspired by his training and
experience in many different types of aircraft.

I would say this to those people who wish to fly the first flight.  If your
level of expertise covers off what you have to do, go do it.  It is your
plane and your butt that is on the line.  It is also 100% your choice.
There is no right answer overall.  I take my hat off to you.

I know enough about flying to know that I do not know enough.  I would love
to make the first flight but discretion is the better part of valour.
