My right mag is malfunctioning and now I'm investigating after-market,
hopefully low-cost electronic ignition alternatives for my LNC2.  Trouble
is, each manufacturer raves about his own design and criticizes the
competition.

What is your experience-both good and bad- with your electronic ignition
system?  Did you realize the advertised benefits?  Was the purchase
