Every general aviation old timer goes into cardiac arrest when you talk about using automobile parts in an airplane.
It does not occur to them that the auto makers have hundreds of thousands of times the experience making switches, relays, servos etc. than an aircraft maker does.
When was the last time you had an electric window servo fail in your car?
They make these things as good as they reasonably can to prevent warranty problems. I won't talk about engines like my Chevy El Camino with 160,000 miles on it and it still does not use oil.
