Whelen Power supply mounting location
Jeffrey,

Jim White and I mounted our Whelen power supplies just behind the main spar carry-through box on the right side of the fuselage, and high enough to access the fuel and wiring pass-throughs to the right wing. This was chosen to provide as short a run of shielded cable to the strobes, keep the box away from the instrument panel, and keep it inside the pressurized part of the airplane. Considered mounting it in the wheel well area but wasn't sure/couldn't determine the impact of it not being pressurized and somewhat more exposed to the elements. Haven't flown yet, so don't know about interference, as the main power/signal wiring for the airplane passes down the right side (all antennas on the left side), but it "looks good." Can email you pictures if you'll write me directly with a good address.

Subject: [LML] Whelen Power supply mounting location

I am trying to figure out the "Best" location to mount my Whelen central power supply (it supplies power for all strobes)

Any comment and ideas would be helpful, aka Stay away from this , or I did this and latter decided to do this ...

Thanks in advance
Jeffrey
