Didn't arrest the sink rate and didn't go around after the first bounce.
The second landing was the hard one and did the damage.<
I had a similar happening, doing my BFR with full fuel and on a hot day.
Sink rate was high from a "too high" approach. Flared like I have done
hundreds of times but there just wasn't enough lift to arrest that sink
rate. Hit hard but did a "go around" and had no damage. You really have to
watch that sink rate in this hot weather.
Anyway, the instructor said "we'll count that one as the GO AROUND"
