After a good period at highway speeds, if I would stop for gas and then try to start it again, it would refuse to turn over. After a half-hour or so, it would start like normal. One day I was at the lake, launching the boat. A friend was in the truck, me in the boat. He mistakenly turned off the truck and then it refused to start, blocking the ramp for the rest of the boaters. Needless to say, I wasn't very popular with the lake crowd that day. I replaced the starter and haven't had a problem since. (my 2 cents) -- Mark
