I try to consider at least the following three things for each component:

1.  What happens in a state of constant vibration?
2.  What happens when temperature extremes occur?
3.  What happens during negative G's?

I don't know if this review would have caused you to fasten the speaker cover.  Sounds like the flight check saved the day.
