Everything you read on yesterday's forum is correct with the exception of using SS welding wire. When we did some testing for Burt Rutan, we were told welding SS had properties that cold make it brittle and impurities that made it unsuitable for the purpose of our hinges. The kit comes with a certifiable metallurgical report on the SS wire. Burt Rutan approved this method I have back in the mid 80's, he has never approved any other method for whatever that is worth. Call me, I would be glad to answer any questions you may have. Thanks. Gary Hall, FXE http://www.uslan.com/hinge-kit.html (954) 979-9494 Fort Lauderdale, FL
