I took options 2 and 5. Extended the wing fuel to the tips, but still fill
through the standard filler spot. I don't get quite as much fuel due to the
dihedral (?) but with the header tank I still carry 52 gallons, about 51
usable. I also have electronics to manage 100% of the transfer stuff, and
it has worked flawlessly (about 200 hours and counting). I don't use a
3-way valve, or any valve for that matter. The electronics turn both pumps
on at the same time. I can't balance a heavy wing with fuel transfer, but
that hasn't been a significant problem to date.
