I arrived at Jackson Hole, WY with a very strong easterly wind of 24 knots.
The runway was north south.  Since I had a very long straight in approach,
about 6 miles I did the slip routine and held the runway centerline steady.
There was no perceptible side drift during the  approach so I touched down
that way, cut the power, the left leg settled down, no skiding, no sideways
acceleration-deceleration, beautiful touchdown. very smooth.   As near as we
could tell the crosswind was at least 20 knots as the windsock was straight
out across the runway.  SOOOOO if you can hold the centerline without
drifting, you should be able to use the ailerons and land OK.  Be advised
that the landing was smooth.  You should have complied with that service
bulletin regarding the reinforcement between the wing spar webs with 1/4
inch phenolic and 6 bid glass to handle side loads.
