They indicated they would have some available in Feb for about 1K. In service bulletin #9, dated 2-15-88, it states: "This retro fitable assembly is considered a MANDATORY INSTALLATION...There will be NO charge provided your old assembly is returned". When did Lancair start charging $1000 for this MANDATORY retrofit. Did not Lancair fabricate enough assemblies for all the kits sold, and are they not going to live up to their statement in S/B #9? Have other builders had to pay this much for the same MANDATORY assembly?
