This company http://www.archertransfers.com/ can typeset rub-on letters into
words that allow easy alignment and additions after panel installation.  If
you are not familiar with rub-on letters they are attached to simi
transparent paper and then adhered to the surface by rubbing with a stylus
about the size of a ballpoint pen.  I then lightly coated them with a clear
water base paint available at hobby shops to protect them from scratching.
These letters would work on a smooth painted panel, maybe not so well on
some other surfaces.

Archer apparently does most of his work in decals for Model Railroads.  He
made up some transfers for me that were an exact match for the lettering on
my RV 6 panel after I sent him samples.  The type styles and sizes can be
bought at Architect's Supply Store.  If anyone wants to see how they look, I
could take a photo of the RV panel and send it to them.
