Another idea,
If you want a black panel, you can buy a spray can of black krinkle paint at
your local auto parts store. Two coats is sufficient. The appearance looks
quite professional and there is no reflection whatsoever into the windscreen
as the light is absorbed in the black and any reflection if any is
dispersed. Many pilots that have seen the panel have commented on its
appearance.Labels can be accomplised with lexan plastic engraved on the back
side.. The same appearance and technique as on car dash instruments. I
designed the lexan plates to cover groupings of switches, controls
instruments etc. Worked quite well. If there is any touchup work to do you
can use toothpicks for minute chips and the touchup is hidden because of the
krinkle effect. Aircraft Engravers in Granby CT. does such work.
