In the unlikely event that you wanted to retract the gear on takeoff and were not yet at the speed where the "squat" switch has energized the lockout solenoid, one can hit the switch and pull the gear lever up. As it happens, this is a also a convenient switch to use for gear retraction tests. 12Volts from any convenient location is connected to the switch which then can energize the solenoid Fred Egli N1228E IV ~ 350 hrs. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://members.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please remember that purchases from the Builders' Bookstore assist with the management of the LML.
