The biggest advantages I notice are easier starting and reduced fuel consumption. We seem to burn 1/2 to 3/4 gallon per hour LESS than with conventional mags, depending on power setting. I believe that the advantages of the Lasar are due more to the timing of the spark rather than the strength of the spark.
