Bill, thanks for the input.  However Andair does not provide any information
(that I could find) on their web site concerning o-rings.  One of their
suppliers suggested that I email them, but cautioned that the answer would
be a while in coming.  I have sent them an email.  I have also contacted all
three of their US  distributors.

In the mean time I have ordered from http://www.mcmaster.com, per Marv's
suggestion, however I am concerned that I have measured correctly.  At the
reasonable price of $16.78 for 10 o-rings, I was hesitant to order very many
sizes.

[Gary, I'll bet you're dealing with metric rings... retake the measurements
with a metric spin on them and I'll bet you find a direct replacement in 1.5mm
width (ie, 40mm ID, 43mm OD) or even 2mm (40x44).
