I am planning on using the foam spoken of, and putting one of those auto seat heating/massaging "cushions" in between the foam and the leather cover.  There are some nice ones out there that aren't too expensive considering what you get.  My mom has one that she takes in the van on cross-country trips that has inflatable lumbar support too.  I can't remember what her's is called, but the point is they're out there and can be found at any old wal-mart or pepboys.
