That is where they shatter from. My take on this situation is that if the pilot window manages to shift in the door just a little, one of the bolts will bind the Plexiglas (more than the others) and shatter the window. When installing the door window: Prep the bonding surfaces better than anything you have previously done. Chamfer all corners and edges of the window. Drill the "large" holes with a Plexiglas bit (or suitable modified bit). I am wondering about the wisdom of filling the "large" holes with flox. I am thinking that maybe a high quality silicone could be used. This would allow the window to move a bit and not bind the Plexiglas. Hmmmm. Any thoughts on this?
