But two, I think you might be being a bit premature and harsh here. I don't know what a IV handles like with a window out but clearly it's flyable. In fact this poor guy may have more time in that configuration than any of us do (or want to)! I would first believe that he found the plane to be stable sans window and flew it back at low speed and not in the flight levels back home. Barring other information to the contrary, I don't see anything blatantly dangerous or lacking in judgment here.
