Does anyone know if the spring loaded punches that can shatter glass will
break the plexiglass windows in our planes?  If so, they might be handy to
have in the plane.

Speaking of breaking plexiglass, another IV-P has had the doow window blow
out at altitude.  (This is the sixth one from what I've heard).  Dane Reed
was at FL250 above the weather somewhere in Oregon the other day when his
window blew.   His headset was ripped off and blown out the window along
with most of his charts and approach plates. His girlfriend thankfully
remained strapped in.   He started an emergency descent and landed OK, then
flew the plane back to San Diego when the weather permitted a couple of days
later.  He's now hard at work replacing the window.  His plane had around
300 hours on it when this occurred, so he suspects a stress crack that grew
over time.  No other damage to his plane that I'm aware of.
