"Bob, Thanks to your and the entire Lancair crew for the superb support I received over the past two days. You all made it possible for us to depart Bend today before the snow arrives tonight. We had an incredible flight from Bend (S 07) to Desert Resorts (TRM) La Quinta, CA. We departed at 4 PM, climbed to 23,000 feet and cruises on 16 GPI at 325 knots. We came smoking in at 375 Knots. The Sierra operated perfectly, and the recent fuel calibration by Kirk and Ed was very accurate. Thanks to Richard for his assistance installing the new alternator. I coupled the TruTrak to a flight plan in the Garmin 430. The autopilot threaded the needle all the way to California. One of the waypoints required a 80 degree right course change. At 325 knots the autopilot started the turn 2.2 miles from the way point and precisely intercepted the new course with no over or under shoot. What a thrill this flight was. Thanks again to all at Lancair.
