I had the pleasure of removing a thick layer frost from my Lancair 320
Monday morning in St. Louis. I ran to the bathroom to soak some rags in
hot water. Certainly not the ideal solution. Is there some acceptable
chemical, perhaps like alcohol, that can be used to de-ice light frost
on an aircraft without harming the paint and canopy.
Sportys sells Ice Away for props P/N 09-00264 5.25 oz. spray can for $29.95
I bought this but haven't had the opportunity to use it yet.
Also look at Ice-Off for aircraft de-icing.
P/N 12-21590, 12-21600, 12-21605 & 12-21610 in the Sportys Catalog.
