Gentlemen,

In case you had not heard, a bill that was passed last night in the U.S.
House fortunately excluded an ammendment that could have really messed
things up. http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/newsitems/2001/01-4-127x.html

Problem is, the senate passed the same bill, but WITH the ammendment.  So
now they're gonna get together and talk about it.  AOPA says it's
confident they'll leave the ammendment out.  Call your reps. and let
them know that this would have an extremely adverse impact on GA.  I mean,
if you knew you had to go over to the tower and have some federal
official check your plane for suspicious white substances every time you
want to take off, would you still do it?  (Oh look a white powder - it
must be Anthrax!!  - it's just micro, pal - HELP everybody run for your
lives!!  Call the Hazmat team!!!  We're all gonna die!!!)  Tell your reps
that not only is GA an important part of our economy, but it's an important
part of our freedom.  And not only that, but if we keep restricting our
peoples' daily lives, we will never be able to get back to "normal". We need to do everything we can to make sure this ammendment does
not pass with this bill.  Do something about it.  Unless, of course,
your lancair weighs more than 12,500 lbs, in which case you have a whole
different set of problems.  :o)

Don't let the bastards win.  If nothing else tell your congressman that
we need to practice for when george dubya calls up the Lancair Air Force
to go kick some a** in Afghanistan.
