I'll second this, although I did it with clecos.  When I did so I discovered 
that on the LNC2 there is a gentle curve along the wheel well.  Attaching the 
hinge to this causes it to curve enough to bind.  I built a flox shim between 
the hinge and the interior wall of the wheel well, perhaps 3/16 inch thick at 
the thickest part, and all is well.  Just smear the flox on, cleco the 
release-taped hinge to the wheel well (but only at the ends!) wipe off the 
squeezeout, and take the clecos off before it's fully hard.  Pop off the 
hinge when cured and sand/grind the exposed edge of the shim smooth, then 
pop-rivet the hinge on, taking care to use the proper lengths, which will 
vary as the shim thickness varies.
