Neither.Flying doesn't count! The Certification date (approved by the DAR or FAA) is the starting point - the date on your Airworthiness Certificate is the airworthiness date -- that's it. Your Condition inspection is due by the end of the month, one year later, from the month in which your
certificate is  dated -- if you want to fly in the next month. If you don't
get your repairman certificate by the end of that month, have an ordinary
A&P sign off the condition inspection, even if you do the work....Good Luck
