Thanks for clarifying your letter with these data. I didn't mean to suggest that you had trodden. I apologize for my sloppy reading of your first post. I was so taken with the 196 HP that I completely spaced the part about linear trend lines fitted to diverse data points. The procedure you described here sounds good. And as you say, whether the actual HP number is 175 or 195, if you are happy with the engine, that's what counts. I know Ken builds excellent engines; I just have grief with some of the HP claims.
