Gentlemen:
 I have just spoken with a representative of AVEMCO insurance company which had the hull and liability coverage for N424E.
 They indicated that their underwriting staff are looking at refusing to insure aircraft which have been built by John Kerner because of the facts which have been uncovered during the FAA/NTSB investigation indicating Mr. Kerners negligence in properly closing the wings on N424E as well as the statistics which show his involvement in the majority of Lancair IVP's which have crashed.
 They indicated that if such an exclusion is not possible from a legal standpoint, they may elect to refuse all future coverage on Lancairs whatsoever.   I asked them if there was any middle ground which could be found to allow further coverage such as expanded flight testing prior to binding coverage and they have agreed to look into that possability.
 As a group, we need to take this news very seriously and discussion on the list may be very important as far as working with the insurance industry
to make these planes safer and hence insurable.
