I recently visited another builder and saw his small tail 360 with the trim mechanism integrated with his elevator controls i.e. no elevator trim tab (it has already been checked out and test flown by a Lancair factory pilot by the way). I'm not sure if this is standard for the small tail or not. But I was wondering if anyone has built the Mk II tail and forgone the hassle of putting in an elevator trim tab as well.
Thanks,
Steve O'Reilly

[If memory serves correctly, the spring-biased trim system was standard on
the earlier LNC2 aircraft, and the addition of the MAC-servo-operated
elevator trim tab was introduced along with the MKII tail. Whether or not
any MKII-tail-equipped LNC2's are using the spring-bias trim system in
favor of the trim tab is a question I'll leave to the group. I'm sure
that if there are any out there you'll hear about them.
