Can anybody explain to me the purpose of having a fuel return? Some LNC4's don't. What is the fuel return for anyway? Is it necessary for a temporary installation? Brent S. [The fuel return comes from the regulator that manages the fuel pressure for the fuel injection system. The accepted practice is to send the returning fuel to the source tank to cut down on the fuel management task. I don't know of any fuel injected systems that don't use some sort of fuel return. The Andair valve switches both the source and return lines so the return to the source tank is automatic. If you choose to use a single return to a single tank then that tank will have to be flown off a bit first to make room for the fuel that will be transferring out of the active tank and back into the return tank. Additionally, don't forget that your ferry tank is going to have to be electrically bonded into your ground system to dissipate any static buildup. Talk to Fred Moreno for sure about this activity, as he seems to have spent the most time working on these kinds of fuel systems for the LIV and LIVP. ] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
