LeAnn and I miss seeing you. Thanks for including us
in on the Legacy Letter. A Walters or Pratt & Whitney
Turbine would be ideal for your plane. It definately
would satisfy Claudettes go-fast button. By the way I have photos of a Lancair 4P that took a
lightning strike on the leading edge of the right
wing. The entry hole is about 2" in diameter, but it
damn near blew the rudder off. The rudder is trashed.
The right wing may also be scrap. I was told it also
blew out all his radios except the GPS but I cant
confirm that. In my opinion the pilot was extremely
lucky the wing did not blow off. Have they addressed
lightning protection for your aircraft? You need to
look into that.
