In fact the plans indicate the aileron should NOT be thinner than the TE of the wing. Try to follow the bid schedule shown in the plans for the web face and then you could add a spar cap for the area in question for additional bonding surface to the lower aileron skin. Put the brackets in per plans so you do not change the geometry of the aileron control rods and make sure the left and right ailerons are the same. First and foremost call Lancair and get their recommendation on this since they probably have seen many similar situations and have a ready fix. Just my opinion Doug >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
