I too had the nose gear door close before gear retraction. It
happened only two or three times when I first activated the gear. It
did a little damage, too.
Since the manual does not give any instruction on bleeding the line,
and I didn't, I concluded that air in the line was leaking through the
valve activatind the retract, but not the hydraulic fluid. I haven't
had further problems in, probably, 100+ retractions. I'll bet deChaze
is right that the valve is leaking.
Now I'm having to replace the o-rings on the door cylinder because
one somewhere in there has already failed. Any others had a sudden,
heavy leak there?
