Proof again that early reports allegedly from eye witnesses can be (and usually are) false or misleading.  Another Lancair owner in Perth wrote and said he knows the aircraft.  Canopy is stock as is the rest of the aircraft except for addition of air conditioning.  The cause of the accident needs more probing.
