Hello Gary,

I modified the VPX Flap controls to be subordinate to the Lancair limit
switches. VPX has an Extend feature that allows the Flaps to continue beyond
the Position Sensor's end points until it encounters the Lancair Limit
Switch. So you get the best of both systems. The VPX gives you multiple Flap
settings and also prevents overspeed deployment.

Jeff,

I have the Ray Allen trim system and have installed the Ray Allen speed
controller. My elevator trim motor now runs at close to half it's original
speed and I find that very good.

I have also used the VPX-Pro electronic circuit breaker system (love it) but
if you use the speed control system for the elevator trim, it is a function
of the flap position and you then loose the protection from what I consider
are very good limit stop micros on the flap motor. The VPX will control the up and down stop limit position for the flaps but
not as accurately as the switches provided in the flap motor. (My opinion)

I agree with Steve Cowell's comments and agree that rudder trim is not
needed. I installed a rudder trim but don't use it.

Enjoy.

If you have the ray Allen trim systems do you find that you need to have a
dual mode speed on the trim motors ?
Aka Slower speed at higher airspeeds with a faster trim motor speed flying
at lower pattern speeds ?

I am trying to decide if I want to just install now instead of later ...

Thanks in advance
Jeff.
