Rob,

I know one person with LNC2 in West Palm Beach.. I think the code is F45 ??
His name is Paul and he is a very nice person ask for him here at the list.

Myself dreaming about I had one tinted "summer" canopy :-)
Well I better finish a/c first :-)

But keep us updated! Not sure how this are made... But should be some demand.
Or do a canopy last a/c lifetime normally ?

What price do they talk about?

Best regards

Further to my earlier post reference locating a canopy for my L360 project in Australia, I have had a suggestion that Todd’s Canopies in Fort Lauderdale, Florida,( www.toddscanopies.com ) might be able to help. So I am interested in any comments from others who know of, or have had dealings with this organisation.

A bit more of the picture…..

1.     I have been in contact with Todd’s canopies, but they do not have a Lancair canopy mould so will have to “blow” one. They would need to look at a L320 or 360 in their area to get some measurements, to try and produce the correct shape.

2.     My other option is to purchase a canopy from Lancair. The only reason I am researching alternatives is that the cost of one from Lancair is about four times what these people are asking. I also have to pay import duties on arrival in Australia, which are based on the purchase price, so it makes it even more appealing to keep the price down.  But yes, I know, if you pay peanuts you can sometimes get monkeys! At the end of the day, I am not going to be happy if the result doesn’t look and function right.

Has anyone out there been down this road before me? Have you any suggestions of cautions? Is there anyone in the Fort Lauderdale area who would be willing to let these people have a look at your Lancair 320/360 for me if I decide to pursue this option?

Any advice or suggestions would be gratefully received.

Regards,
