If you call jepp tech support sometimes the guy on duty will give you a clue.   e.g. folklore like you can't program the 8GB Garmin card that comes with a GTN650 directly in the Mac card slot but you can program it in a USB card reader connected to a Mac.   go figure.  (I discovered that a 2GB generic card works fine with JSUM in a mac card  slot).
