Michael,

I believe Colyn is referring to the article he wrote in the Feb. 2013 LOBO newsletter RE: the TCM engine class. I don’t think it is specifically about the IO-550. The newsletter is available on the LOBO website – www.lancairowners.net.

Another good source of information on the care and feeding of big continentals (and other engines)  is Advanced Pilot Seminars (http://www.advancedpilot.com/). I’ve taken their online course – worth every penny for what I learned. I’ve heard the live course is even better.

I'm a member of LOBO and have not received a news letter about IO-550 from LOBO...I would like to find out about the proper care

Colyn Case and I attended the (TCM) Continental engine course in Mobile, AL in February and truly enjoyed it/learned a lot about the care and feeding of Continental engines. It includes manuals and access to their web site.

Thank you all for the tips.  I found out that TCM is selling their online membership for around (approx according to tech support) that also includes a couple of courses. I tried to join today but they were too busy. Then I can get that cool manual you mentioned.
