I called Michelle @ Lancair Monday = afternoon to verify it was the right part number and got her voice mail = (left a message). I found a message Monday night on my cell phone that = after some more research at the factory, she had "good news" for me on = the valve. Expecting she was going to tell me she found it had been = shipped "way back when" (and I already knew I didn't have it in my = shop), I was not getting my hopes up. Well, her good news was that Lancair went through all my files and = clearly verified I was never shipped the valve. They are going to = provide me a new one at NO CHARGE. Fourteen years (to the month) later, = completely different ownership, and they are covering a $10,400 valve = not shipped with the original kit. =20 This is unbelievable!! =20 To be clear, I never expected anything from the factory. I am sure = when Lancair was bought many years ago, there was no outstanding = "payable" stated on the books for this, so covering this is essentially = new ownership stepping up "above and beyond". I just wanted to give credit where credit is due!
