I agree with Bruce. My Legacy is put together with no sealer with the exception (probably unnecessary) of teflon tape on the pipethread fittings. To my utter surprise, no joints or fittings have leaked despite multiple disassemblies and reassemblies -- except for the two that I had not tightened, one time.
I conclude (again to my surprise) that the flaring process, b-nuts, ferrules, and pipe threads are all pretty robust if even a noob like me can get it right the first time.
