Ground School Update.......See attached flyer
Ernie Sutter and Bob Jeffrey will be producing an in-depth ground
school, and will be concentrating many of the topics on the cause of
nearly all Lancair accidents, i.e.....pilot error and poor decision
making. They will also offer great insight in how to avoid these
pitfalls with the proposed topics listed below:
Cockpit Resource Management - Single pilot and with a flying partner
Emergency landings
Use of engine monitors as a maintenance tool
CHT/EGT analysis
Personal minimums
Icing and icing avoid strategies
Threat and error management
Review of accident reports
This is not a final or complete list of the topics that will be
presented, but it gives you a good idea of some of the points that will
be covered by Bob and Ernie, and with their combined years of flight
training, especially in Lancair's, they are able to address the things
that bite us.
We need you to register by July 31, and pay the non-refundable $50.00
deposit. The remaining $50.00 ($10.00 for accompanying
spouse/companion) is due by August 31st. You are not going to want to
miss this.
